StockBz

The whole warehouse in one console.

From the catalog to staff permissions: every area of the warehouse is handled from the computer and from the tablet, with the same documents and the same log.

Catalog

A category tree, products with several variants, and for each variant its code and several barcodes: relabelling does not invalidate the old code.

  • Search by name, code or barcode
  • Duplicate barcodes are allowed but flagged, because they will be ambiguous when scanned
  • Unit of measure, reorder point, maximum and target level
  • Bulk operations: activate, deactivate, delete
  • Supplier records

A deactivated item disappears from working lists, but the documents that contain it stay readable.

Warehouses and locations

Several warehouses, each of which can be activated and deactivated. The warehouse is a required dimension of stock: there is no quantity without the place it sits in.

  • Areas and bin locations for those who use them, invisible for those who do not
  • Only active warehouses appear in selection lists
  • Transfers between warehouses are a document type of their own

Bin locations are handled as a structure and as a dimension of stock: there is no guided put-away, no picking waves and no in-warehouse routing.

Stock and movements

Stock by variant and by warehouse, and under every number the movement log: date, author, reason, signed quantity and resulting balance.

  • No movement can be deleted: it is a log, and that is deliberate
  • Inbound and outbound adjustments with configurable reasons
  • Below-zero behaviour decided per company

Adjustments are stock movements with their own reason, not a document type of their own.

Documents

Four types with the same life cycle: purchase orders, shipments, stock counts and transfers. Draft, confirmation, picking, closing, archiving.

  • Expected lines built by search, from a CSV file or with a preparatory scan
  • Sample or full counts, with a summary of what was not counted before closing
  • Two-phase transfers, with goods in transit, or quick ones
  • Archiving keeps the final status, and can be undone

Opening the same document in two places warns you that someone changed it in the meantime, instead of overwriting silently.

Scanning and picking

The intended way to move goods: you prepare the document and then scan it, from the computer with a scanner or from a tablet. Without a scanner you type.

  • Multiple quantities without repeating the scan, and undo
  • A scan feed with the operator and the done/expected count
  • Unknown, ambiguous or unexpected codes listed with the reason
  • PIN operators, with no account needed

Scans made without a connection stay queued on the device and are sent automatically after reconnection: closing and reopening the application does not lose the work done.

Costs and value

Three distinct numbers, deliberately kept apart: the cost you declare, the weighted average StockBz computes from actual receipts, and the cost frozen at the moment of sale.

  • Declared cost per variant
  • Weighted average cost computed from actual receipts
  • Landed costs spread over the lines of a receipt
  • Cost of goods sold and margin, and aggregate stock value

Dashboard

The console opens on the state of the day, not on a list: stock value, variants below the reorder point, incoming documents, stock idle beyond a threshold you set.

  • Seven-day cost of goods sold and daily movements
  • Every tile leads to the screen that explains it
  • The idle-stock threshold is a preference of your company

Analytics stop here: best and worst sellers, aging and ABC analysis are not there yet.

People and permissions

Roles with a permission matrix by section and by action, and granular permissions by document type: a role can be given purchase orders only.

  • Email invitations, with a link that leads to setting a password
  • Read-only users do not see the buttons to create and edit
  • PIN operators, separate from console users
  • Users can be activated and deactivated

The console

Dense and orderly, in Italian and English, light and dark theme, usable from a tablet. The menu shows only what you have access to.

  • Filters, sorting and page end up in the address: a link reopens the same view
  • Wide tables scroll inside their own frame, never the page
  • Plan usage by group, with recalculation on request
  • Multi-company with data separation

Shopify integration

Integrate your warehouse with your Shopify shop: catalog and locations imported, stock aligned according to the source you choose, fulfilled orders and returns turned into warehouse documents.

  • Guided connection in five steps
  • Every active Shopify location becomes a StockBz warehouse
  • Quantity reconciliation on request
  • Warehouse operations from the tablet, with Shopify POS

A StockBz account is required; the Shopify app alone is not a management system. With Shopify as the stock source, alignment towards StockBz happens at the initial import and during reconciliation, not continuously.
